Calving box cameras are broadcast on Internet for remote viewing
This article is about watching the calving box over the internet. Calving 550 cows over 12 months means constant vigilance. With 60 calves born some months, there's always action in the calving shed, and as all herdsman know, cows can move quickly from being quite okay to needing help. With cameras mounted in the centre of the roof, Steve Phillis can check on the down-calvers every few minutes, and still continue with the records and admin!
