Home made cluster back-flush controls mastitis

 

Totting up the costs of antibiotics, discarded milk, cow condition loss led our contributor dairy farmer to experiment with ways of controlling the disease. Since building the back flush he has achieve zero cases of mastitis over a 12 month period in a commercial herd of 140 holstein / friesians
