For years, I have enjoyed and admired your logical and common sense written articles, often looking at situations in a way that few other people see them, and expressing a view that is enlightening and thought provoking. That must be a true journalistic flair!

High tensile wire fencing - home built tools for erecting

Downloadable Report - Format PDF

Price: 0.99p

Netting and barbed wire have been the staple materials for wire fencing in Britain for many decades.  It looks tidy, does the job, and it's what the neighbours use.  Furthermore, new, well erected netting will always attract a buyer or tenant.  So why think of trying some other fencing method?  Netting is heavy on stakes, is expensive to buy, and can be easily damaged by machinery.

Robin Needs read a Farmers Weekly article in the mid1970s which featured an invention made by an Orkney man which linked together multiple stands of high tensile fencing.
