Each magazine has some useful tips, and the writing isn't biased towards manfacturers - it gives an independent view of things. I value its practicality.

Horse riding school surface maintained with leveller

Downloadable Report - Format PDF

Price: 0.99p

Maintaining the surface of the schooling area is vital. If a horse turns sharply, its feet push the rubber chippings to one side and a hole soon develops. Let the next horse go into  the same hole and they get down to the membrane, causing damage and tearing. The answer is to regularly level the whole schooling area, spreading the rubber back into a consistent layer. Chris made this leveller which is superior to many on
the market, and much less expensive than the £1,000+ asked by manufacturers. His is bigger, yet will work
behind a compact tractor or any available.
