Compromise is the name of the game on many a family farm. Son wants to make changes, and father says “what’s the point?”  Andrew wanted to go to complete feeding, not only to save work but because it appeared to offer some improvement to animal performance, but Dad was less than enthusiastic. The result was compromise - buying a very second hand Keenan, and adapting it to feed out over the existing barriers.  
This was achieved by making a set of four 13in risers, using heavy walled box section with 12mm plates on top and bottom.  The bolts holding the Keenan tub to the chassis were undone. Chains and straps were.....
