I like Practical Farm Ideas Magazine because it's an amazing source of cast effective and well thought out ideas covering all aspects of farming, especially machinery. It is a great bonus to me in the daily running of the farm!

IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR
eg: You want to build a front tractor weight. Use the Search function and type in 'front' OR 'weight' and press GO. All article titles containing the word are listed. If you type in the two words, front weight, and you get all the titles with either one or both - so there are more to skim through. Typing in tractor will produce a list far longer than those for front or weight.

Each article has Vol  Issue  Pg  numbers, which acts as an Index for those with a full set of magazines. There is also the view article. Click on this and, if the article is on the website, you can download it. Click for further information and you get a page with the price and add to basket, which you follow through.  Privileged subscribers are given a personal free access code for their computer to put in the box and then submit. The download then starts. Look for the file in your downloads folder, or desktop, or whatever destination is set up on your computer. Tip: if you can't find it search your computer files for a key word such as 'weight'; or go to the function that lists the files you have used today.

IF YOU WANT TO BROWSE WHAT IS AVAILABLE

Magazines like Practical Farm Ideas give you information which you would never think of looking up. IN the latest issue, for example, we show how to make a bridleway gate that fits into an electric fence. It's unlikely a farmer would try looking it up, yet he may well find it solves a perennial problem when he comes across it while browsing. Browsers should choose their interest area from the bulleted list below. Browse through a full list of article titles. Then identify the magazine number or the file to download as above.

DOWNLOAD PRICES

Files which are scans of the magazine pages are generally priced at 99p with longer ones going up to £5.50

Special reports are longer, written to include information included in numerous articles and other fresh sources, including farm visits. Special reports cost up to £15.00
