I have subscribed to 11 magazines, of which 9 have something to do with farming. The only one I'm savouring from cover to cover is Practical Farm Ideas. The fact that these ideas are from collegues in a somehow similar situation, that they have been realised under farm workshop conditions and have really proven their usefulness in the daily challenge of practical farming, gives your magazine a value I have never found anywhere before. I think your publication should be a must for any farmer who has more in his toolbox than a hammer, chisel and vice grip!

Index - health and the farmer

HERE IS your guide to the specialist HEALTH features which have been published in Practical Farm Ideas published in 1992 to 2010. The Index will be up-dated in Nov 2016

Farmers have specific health risks, some which are not often found in the general population. Orf, ringworm, leptospirosis (Weils disease) are some diseases. Then there are consequences of using chemicals, both pesticides and veterinary. In addition the farmer's physique can take a battering, even today.

Each issue from Vol 1 issue 1 to Vol 12 had a Health and the Farmer article, and later issues have health articles as an occasional topic.

Using the ‘find’ function (ctrl + F or under Edit) allows you to search this document quickly. Type in the word describing your interest and review the selection.
Each entry is located by the Volume, the Issue and the Page.
Every Volume of FARM IDEAS has four issues: Spring (#1) is published May 8th; Summer (#2) August 8th; Autumn (#3) Nov 8; Winter (#4) February 8th
The entry:    ATV has mounted transport box for sheep, tools etc    1 3 11 tells you that the article about the ATV transport box is found in Volume 1, Issue 3, page 11
